Christmas in July Event...Is coming!

 

The Folk Art and Primitives Group is preparing for a Christmas in July event on ETSY.  The event runs from July 10- July 30.  There is a treasure hunt and an ornament give away...plus - you can get a head start on Christmas decorating/shopping.  Each participating member will be tagging 1-20 Christmas items from their shop.... so lots of great products will be out there.  Here are a few I will have in the event.

CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!

 

 

Everybody in our house LOVES chocolate and no sweets survive more than 12 hours in our home!  I made this pillow to represent what we go through in our home...especially when the kids are around.

NEW CRAFT FAIR ITEMS

I just finished several more items for the craft show this weekend.  Here is a sample of what will be there...

 

I have the Halloween Raggedy Ann and Andy made with Halloween themed clothes.  They even have the "I love you" heart.  Behind them are some cute little ghosts!

Everyone in my family appreciates this pillow....  we all LOVE chocolate!  This was just a fun whimsical pillow to make!

Another Beautiful Day!

 

Weather forecast for today and tomorrow are good - but as the weekend approached - storms are forecast.  I have over 100 items for the show - all of which are tea-dyed ... so hoping the showers stay away!

 

Anxious for the fair.  Any prep suggestions would be appreciated.  Lists have been made. Inventory logged.  Most items are packed.  I'll post pictures of the set-up.  If anyone is in the DFW area on Sunday - come to the Lost Oak Winery in Burleson for the Treasurers at the Winery!

TIME TO RE-BOOT!

 

I have been really lax about blogging - so I have set a goal for myself.  I am going to try to update this blog every two days!  I want to set a do-able goal for myself! So here goes!

 

 

It's now officially summertime here!  School is FINALLY out and the weather is officially HOT!  I have been preparing for my first craft show in over ten years!  It's this Sunday! ... and of course - there is rain forecast!  Oh well - life goes on.

 

The past week I have been hand deep in MODPOG and snowflakes!  It's a sticky job - but somebody has to do it!  Candy canes and icicles are now ready to go.  My friend came over last week to help with staging the display!  It's going to look great!  We are using old shutters to display all the hanging items and wagons for pillows.  I have ALL my items ready to go for all occasions  - Fall, Halloween, Christmas, Summer, etc.  I'm real excited!  So if you are in the DFW area this Sunday from noon-6pm - Treasuries at the Winery will be the happening place in Burleson!

 

On an off note.  My daughter is going to vet school - out of state - and this is all new and unchartered territory for us.  If anyone has suggestions for loans - that would be great!  Also - did you know that vet students have to get pre-exposure rabies shots????  Well - they do.  Any suggestions on that one?  She can get them at the university - but she wanted to do them while at home.  Just one more thing to research!
